Whether you bring your own horse or participate as an auditor, you will absorb a tremendous amount of awareness-generating knowledge that will speed your success in developing your skills.  Two of the 4 Parelli Savvys (Freestyle and Finesse) require that you understand what it is about saddle tools that can ENHANCE rather than DETRACT from the mutually satisfying Relationship you are building with your horse.

Parelli Saddle Clinics are far more than Makeovers!
(See a partial list of scheduled saddle-oriented clinics at the bottom of this page).

The photo composite (above) illustrates just a few of the segments of  a typical Parelli Saddle Clinic or Posture and Fit seminar.  Our Parelli Professionals are skilled at helping you feel in your own body what you need to know to understand the horse's point of view.  They'll show you how to recognize the difference between POSTURE and CONFORMATION (and how saddles play a huge part in that).
They will also help you understand how to look at a horse, understand what his body is trying to tell you, and what you can do about it.  You'll learn how watch a horse move, understand what is good and bad, and why.  You'll learn how to shim a saddle to improve performance considerably.  You'll see transformations that will astound you.
Per the photo composite above:
1. It’s easy to feel subtle or dramatic differences (the good and the bad) in what the horse feels as you move small and large parts of yourself when you’re up there. (pictured here:  Tina Giordano, 3-Star Parelli Professional "riding" Margit Deerman, 3-Star Parelli Professional.
2.  It’s easy to see why a saddle could feel like a torture device when you measure the underside of it with a flexicurve and compare it to the measurement of the horse’s back.
3.  If your riding posture is not secure on your balance point, it’s easy to be pulled off balance.  Just a little tug on the “reins”, and every one of these “riders” fell forward.
4.  When you are secure on your balance point, even a huge tug, a sudden stop, zig or zag is not likely to unseat you!
5.  It’s important to know how to feel underneath a saddled horse and know what to expect as a good fit.
6. It’s important to know what to look for when a horse is traveling on the forehand when ridden, understand all the consequences of this, and know how to fix it! This happy rider, in a Parelli Saddle for the first time, is pleased to be able to finally enjoy her horse being relaxed, head down, moving smoothly....and SO much more!

If you are interested in participating in such a clinic or would like to host one in your area please let us know. WE CAN SERVE YOU IN YOUR LANGUAGE: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish.

When you come to a Parelli saddle seminar (with or without your own horse), you can expect to participate and learn on many levels. These events are not just about saddles and how to shim and fit them.  You’ll learn about horse postures as well as your own body carriage, biomechanics, fluidity and how to apply these things to use your horse's true potential. Many Parelli Instructors incorporate much of this valuable information within their own clinics.   But it’s a huge subject, and we receive regular requests for 2-day sessions that offer auditors as well as “makeover” candidates the chance to take the time it takes to absorb more and achieve higher levels in their Freestyle and Finesse riding.

Testimonial:
“Today I participated in the Saddle and Posture Clinic at Horse First in Wisconsin. Farrah Green and Michelle Manshardt were the Parelli Instructors. I am an Equine Sports Massage Therapist and have studied much of the material they have presented, but they blew me away with the in-depth content, at the same time the simplification that anyone could understand. The connections to human anatomy and how we effect our horses. How our horses are not "wrong" …just understand where they are “at” in their development and know what can we do to make a change. Thank you for the program of loaning out the saddles to try. I was very impressed with Farrah's knowledge of shimming and how current she was on the latest subtleties of how to fit saddles for optimum performance. I had just read about those in the savvy times not too long ago”. Barb R
